Still Alive!

I had a dream last night that Don Mattingly was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. For some reason I was sitting with him, Eddie Murray, Cal Ripken, and Rickey Henderson on some bleachers overlooking a driving range. Rickey kept getting up to show us some nifty gymnastic moves he could do.

We were joshing each other, making playful jabs at one another, laughing. It was a great dream. Everyone was congratulating Mattingly on an honor well-deserved.

I don’t know what this dream means, but I do know that these players are all representative of the type of player I’ve always admired: hard-nosed men who played the game with respect and integrity, never had off-field issues, always looked dignified, honorable, even regal at times. My favorite kind of player.

I’m still alive, oneforfive.com is still alive, and we’re both moving forward. In honor of still being alive, here is a list of all 64 currently living Baseball Hall of Famers:

  2. Thank you, Glenn! And the same to you!

  3. Paul,

Glad to hear you’re well and you’re back posting. I hadn’t found another tabletop sports gaming blog to fill the void that was left when you stopped posting for a few weeks so the return is much appreciated. Keep up the good work!

    Joe
